I AM TRYING AS HARD AS I CAN

Grace is a queer writer and performer based in Liverpool, known for their gentle butch vibe and big metaphours. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant communities they inhabit, Grace explores themes identity, nature, and power.

With a blend of visual and poetic mediums, Grace delivers thought-provoking performances. This has earned them numerous accolades, including victories in slam poetry competitions and publications in esteemed small presses like No Disclaimers and Streetcake.

Last year, they were among Homotopia’s QueerCore troupe, developing a Cabaret focussing on queer actions to fight fascism. They have now received Develop Your Creative Practice (DYCP) funding from the Arts Council to continue this project, and become a better artist.

They like long walks on the beach, cheese sandwiches, and Hubert Selby Jnr.
